Co-Founder & CEO - Election Bridge
"As a graduate of GSU's Andrew Young School of Policy Studies I have been afforded the opportunity to work with governments on the municipal, federal and international levels...
Utilizing the skills and lessons learned while attending the university have been instrumental to me becoming a non-profit co-founder and CEO of the govtech start-up Election Bridge."

Property Manager - FLATS
"Allen's time studying public policy at the AYS taught him to turn a problem on its head and look at it through another lens. All his instructors showed him new ways to frame issues...
and tackle the challenges facing our urban environments. He has taken these skills into the property management field and have found how systemic thinking and an ear for community engagement can lead to change. Currently, he is managing a 344 unit adaptive reuse building in the Uptown neighborhood of Chicago, IL."

Asset Manager - Atlanta Beltline
"During Salazar’s time at the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies, she honed her skills for civic engagement and effective communication with public, private, and residential stakeholders...
through analytical policy writing courses and service-learning opportunities with the City of Atlanta’s Office of Resilience. The Public Policy program’s courses in public administration and policy analysis helped strengthen her understanding of local, state, and federal governmental processes, which her work at Atlanta BeltLine is directly impacted by as quasi-governmental organization. Her required program internship allowed her to dive directly into the development and management of urban communities by working as a Policy Intern with the Council for Quality Growth, an advocacy group for the development industry in metro Atlanta and the state. Her time in the Nonprofit Leadership & Management and Economic Development Policy courses offered critical exposure to real life public stewards and innovators across Atlanta’s public sector, and she utilized the exposure as a networking opportunity to further expand her skillset and career prospects. By obtaining her B.S. in Public Policy and actively participating in the program, she entered the workforce prepared to be a civically inclined leader ready to make a difference in the community."

Legislative Director - GeorgiaLink Public Affairs Group
"The Andrew Young School of Policy Studies gave me the important tools for my career as a lobbyist. Serving my clients is of paramount importance. My time at Andrew Young gave me data-focused abilities and networking skills...
that helps put our firm, GeorgiaLink, on top in giving top service to our clients. The Andrew Young School gave me further opportunities in serving in our General Assembly and in Washington D.C. Most importantly, our school gave me a foundation in service and advocacy in our respective communities."

International Trade Associate - Clark Hill
"I always knew I wanted to go to law school but wasn’t sure what undergraduate degree would prepare me best for the journey. When I was admitted to Georgia State University, I was a business major. But the moment I saw Andrew Young School of Public Policy...
and its course offerings, I changed my major to Public Policy right away. I will forever be thankful for that decision. Andrew Young School of Public Policy prepared me to law school immensely. It strengthened my reading and writing skills ahead of time, skills that are indispensable from being a lawyer. It also helped me grow my critical thinking and problem solving skills in almost all the courses I took; whether it was solving urban problems or passing a public policy that is specifically tailored to fixing a local issue. Because of AYSPP and the strong foundation in public policy it helped me build, I now always accompany my legal work with a solid public policy reasoning to strengthen my argument and to show the audience that laws are never black and white; there is always a grey area in between that must be justified with a strong policy aimed to serving the public."

Staff Assistant - U.S. House of Representatives
"CHCI relates to the education I received at Georgia State University by allowing me the platform to execute the material I studied. My internship allowed me to put my education to use and operationalize the ideas I studied at Georgia State University...
I have learned how policy at the federal level is not just about writing but also deals with political aspects and leveraging networks. My Public Management and Policy degree were extremely relevant during this internship. Vocabulary as simple as “reframing” learned in Dr. Smith's classes that I learned through my major was incredibly helpful during this internship."

Organizer, Writer, Social Media Specialist
"After the pandemic altered his post-graduation plans, Evan Malbrough adapted and used his passion for helping his community to establish the Georgia Youth Poll Worker Project. His organization...
successfully recruited 1,000 student poll and census workers between July 2020 and January 2021, the equivalent of staffing 100 election precincts."
